STORY 07 — THE SHADOW AND THE QUIET
Photography revealed itself to me as a space where silence speaks. For an introvert, this is like having a key to heaven. In my observational studies and lived experience, I learned that the most intimate parts of a man lie in his quietness: the shoulder leaning against a wall, the pause before breath, the soft tension in the jaw. The quietude of stillness became my portal into understanding the frequencies of sensuality. The place where the erotic opens without ever needing to declare itself. This was in direct contradiction to my daily studies in art school. In art school they championed black trauma, my rebuttal was black male beauty and sensuality.
